Tropical Trailblazers is owned and operated by Cairns family Richard, Julie and Ethan Johnston. We love where we live and try to make the most of every day, squeezing in adventures whenever and wherever we can. You can read more about this, and get inspired for local camping and travel destinations, on our I Love Cairns site. A few years ago, our family grew to include our border collie, Stormy. Quite shortly thereafter a few things became apparent. Firstly, we realised adventures needed to be at pet friendly locations, and secondly, we needed to have our own ‘house on wheels’ so we could bring our dog with us. We made the big decision to buy a caravan and Tropical Trailblazers was born. We can’t use our caravan all the time (wouldn’t that be nice), so we make it available for hire, so other families can enjoy the great outdoors in comfort and style. We recently added a camper trailer to the Tropical Trailblazers fleet, which has the added flexibility of not needing a 4WD to tow it. So that’s our story, hire one of our rigs through the Camplify platform, join the Tropical Trailblazers tribe and get out there and make some memories.
If you love the great outdoors, but also love some creature comforts. You can hire our offroad caravan and camper trailer, which come packed with everything you need to go camping. They’re ready to roll, so pack your bag and go camping.
All bookings for our offroad caravan and camper trailer must be made and paid for through the Camplify system. We do this for your peace of mind and ours. Camplify was founded in Newcastle, Australia and it’s their mission to become the world’s largest and most trusted caravan and motorhome sharing community. We are premium members of Camplify and as such, anyone who hires our caravan or camper trailer are covered with 24/7 breakdown cover. Camplify also provides the insurance, which you can choose your own excess for (much the same as when you rent a car). If you are uncomfortable with the idea of towing them, we also provide a delivery service to locations within a 200km radius of Cairns.
